Center Line View

The Center Line View is used when you want to edit the position of the tees, center line and flagstick for each hole on your course. (To move a tee or hole, see "How do I move a tee?")

This view is not one of the default views that appear on your screen when you open the Course Architect. To display the Center Line View, choose Center Line from the Edit menu. The Center Line View will then replace the Objects View.

The Center Line View consists of a series of check boxes (one for each hole of your course) and several control buttons.

Center Line

When a hole number is checked, its flagstick, turnpoints and tees will be visible in the Top View. You can only edit the dimensions of a center line when it is visible. You can check as many or as few holes as you want at any one time. Having more than one center line visible at a time is a good way to check the relationship between them.

Unchecking a center line makes its elements invisible again.

Show All

Clicking this button will make the elements (flagsticks, center lines and tees) of all the holes on your course visible at once in the Top View.

Hide All

Clicking this button will make the elements (flagsticks, center lines and tees) of all the holes on your course invisible in the Top View.

Center

This command centers the Top View on the holes you have chosen.
If you have only one hole checked, the Top View will move until it is centered on that hole. If more than one hole is checked, the Top View will try to find the center most point of their configuration. Depending on how far in you've zoomed, none of the chosen holes may be immediately visible -- but if you zoom out far enough, you'll see them clustered around the center of the view.

Fit In Top View

This command moves the Top View to the hole. If only one hole is checked when this button is clicked, the Top View will shift so it is exactly over that hole, and the Top View will zoom in or out so that the hole, with its current dimensions, exactly fits in the window.

If more than one hole is checked, the Top View will move until it is over all of them and zoom in or out so that all their elements exactly fit in the window.

Move Here

This command gives you a quick way to move entire holes around on your course. Center a spot in the Top View where you would like to place a particular hole, then click this button.

This will open a pull-down menu with a choice of all possible center lines from 1 to 18. When you click on the line you want (whether or not you have worked on it before), its elements (tees, turnpoint and flagstick) will appear in their default format in the middle of the Top View.

Close

Clicking on this command closes the Center Line View and returns to the Objects View. All hole elements will become invisible again in the Top View.
